Get Involved

Without other people getting involved then TOAD is nothing, we rely on other people’s help to raise funds and for other groups to run the projects.

Fundraising

We really want other people to get involved with organising their own fundraising and hopefully have a really fun time doing it. Cash is so important as often in the developing world it is the only thing that stops progress – a village might be dead keen and able to put in the labour and collect materials locally but they might need even just a very small amount of cash to buy a vital component.

We really encourage everyone to take on responsibility for fundraising and whether you can raise twenty quid or ten thousand everyone is welcome. What we hope is that people buy in to the idea of raising funds and come up with new and innovative ways of doing this. We have always believed that fund raising does not have to be difficult, if people want to run through a desert that is great but equally if people want to have a fun time with all of their friends and family then we really encourage that.

Where possible TOAD will support events and activities as much as we can with materials, time and resources. If you want to get involved in fundraising then please contact us

Pet Projects

So that people really feel part of the programme it is possible for TOAD to allocate a 'pet project' to a group or individuals raising funds. What we hope is that we can match the project to the fundraisers both in terms of the nature of the projects and the amount of money required. A primary school might think it can raise two hundred pounds and we will match it to a project to support primary schooling in Africa, a group of doctors might think they can raise twenty thousand pounds and would like to support health care and might buy an ambulance for example.

Volunteering

We do not have a volunteering programme as such but we are always keen for people to help out and encourage people to come forward with suggestions. We may also be able to make suggestions as to appropriate programmes for people to volunteer with. So if you would like to work with TOAD then please contact us.
